We love to snack on Alpha-Bits while we learn about our letters each month. Alpha- Bits are enjoyed by children of all ages. Even our parents love them too! Post Alpha-Bits cereal provides a source of 9 essential nutrients plus is an excellent source of Iron and Thiamin.
Today we talked about the letter N.
We learned that night begins with the letter N, so while we were snacking we listened to the story Good Night Canada by Andrea Beck.
After our story, we learned a new N poem complete with actions:I use my hammer and five nails (show hand with 5 fingers) "That's too noisy" my neighbor yells! (raise voice) I'll hammer them now before its night! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (pretend to hammer) And to my neighbor, I'll be polite!
We learned there are a lot of things that start with the letter N, such as noodles, and newspaper, north pole and net.
One of my favorite songs has an n word in it. With the help of Ms. Nicole, we sang Head and Shoulders Knees and Toes in both english and french.
Ms. Nicole lead us in the alphabet also. Did you know the letter N sounds almost exactly the same in both english and french?
With spring time just around the corner, it was only fitting that our handprint and our uppercase N craft was a nest. Our lowercase n was for night.
