Alphabet letters come to life in momstown’s literacy and phonics program. Focus is spent on early literacy, letter names and sounds.
This month's focus was the letter P!
We learned that P is the first letter of many fun words such as picnic, pancakes, pizza, and parade.
We read Twenty Six Pirates, which is an alphabet book written by Dave Horowitz.
A great P rhyme when playing with a parachute is the popcorn rhyme!
Pop, Pop, Popcorn
Pop, Pop, Pop! Put the corn into the pot.
Pop, Pop, Pop! Shake and shake it until it's hot.
Pop, Pop, Pop! Lift the lid and what have you got?
Pop, Pop, Pop! POPCORN!
Our letter P craft was penguins and parrots!
Our foot print craft was a bright blue peacock!
