Since our theme this month is dinosaurs, it was a great time for us to visit some real (well almost real) dinosaurs. We learned so much about dinosaurs this weekend at the Battle of the Titans Exhibit in Niagara Falls.
We weren’t sure what to think because dinosaurs can be very scary for some children. It was a bit overwhelming at first even for the adults. They were so life like. Many of the dinosaurs were even animated which took a bit to get used to.
We had a mixed group of boys and girls and all were equally excited to see the amazing creatures.
It was really neat that parts of the exhibit were interactive. Each display told a story and gave lots of information about each of the dinosaurs. There was even a station for the kids to colour their own dinosaurs and a green screen where you could actually fly like a pterodactyl.
The kids got to dig for dinosaur bones, learn about what dinosaurs eat and even learn about dinosaur doo doo. We thought we knew a lot about them before but there was so much stuff to learn.
While some of the kids were excited to get up close to the dinosaurs, some of them preferred the little not so scary ones!
Keep following this month for all the dinosaur crafts and songs and games to come!
