Lakeside Park Beach – 1 Lakeport Rd (Port Dalhousie)
A popular place to spend an entire day is the well know Lakeside Park. You can spend time on the beach, take the kids for a ride on the carousel (which is still only 5 cents a ride!), take a walk down the pier, or walk through the trails. There are lots of places to stop for ice cream, do some shopping or stop for a bite to eat.
Bay Beach/Crystal Beach– Ashwood Rd and Erie Rd
You can spend an entire day exploring this beautiful area. Besides just the beach there is a snack bar, vendors and beach themed businesses.
Parking is $2/hr or $5 for the day and there are washrooms available
Waverly Beach – South end of Helena Street and Edgemere Road
After relaxing on this beautiful beach you can take a nature walk through the scenic woodland trails.
Grimsby Beach – Lake St
Grimsby Beach is a perfect place for boating, fishing, walking, beach volleyball and be sure to have look at the historic, brightly coloured cottages.
Charles Daley Park East – North Service Road between Jordan Road and Seventh Street.
This park has a playground, tons of picnic space and two beaches. There is also a bandshell with many free concerts throughout the summer
Nickel Beach – 69 Lake Rd
Affectionately referred to as “Niagara’s Secret Treasure”, this beach allows you to drive your car right onto the beach for $10.00. There is no fee if you park outside of the beach area.
Sherkston Beach – 490 Empire Rd
Over 2 miles of sand beach, giant waterslide, mini-golf, tennis, picnic groves, water sport rentals, big screen theatre, and indoor arcade. This is an RV Resort so if you are looking to just spend a day you might prefer Nickel or Belleview Beaches nearby.
Chippawa Conservation Beach – Creek Road (Regional Road 45)
This man-made reservoir is a nature lovers dream. With hiking, swimming, fishing and non-motorized boating, this spot is great for a full day outdoor adventure
Long Beach – 12965 Lakeshore Rd
The sand and pebble beach is a great way to spend an afternoon. This conservation area has lots to do other than just lounging on the abundant beach shoreline. You can visit for the day or stay for a week on the campgrounds.
